For the last week or so, I have been plagued with chronic hiccups, or what I feel to be chronic hiccups, as I usually get them at least once a day normally. Recently, I have been getting them violently, 2 or 3 times every day. It's very annoying. I don't know what is causing them, as I haven't changed anything drastically in my life, including diet or laundry detergent. After hiccuping for a long period of time, the acids in my stomach start to creep back up into my throat, causing it to burn.
One girl at work suggested that it was some form of acid reflux disease, but I didn't have anything acidy all day long. I don't think I ate much all day long, truthfully. It's strange, and I may have to talk to a doctor about it, because it's getting quite irritating, and I don't know what to do about them, but they've been really bad over the last few days and I want them to at least calm down, but not go away all together, because I do like having the hiccups once in a while.

You like having hiccups? Yeah, you are a little strange.
You can have acid reflux without eating much and it does not matter what type of food you eat. Audra "has" it or the doctor says she does. She really does not seem to have the symptoms any more and has not taken any meds for awhile. I would go check, just in case.
Do you not eat for long periods of time, and then really pig out until you are stuffed? Maybe eating habbits could be the cause of your hiccups? Drink a lot of soda? Are you under alot of stress, more so than usual? Some people just have a tendency to get the hiccups alot. Hope you have some relief. J.
